I’m Apple, and I’m a bunny. This is my cozy little home! I really love it here! But being part of the Apple family can be tough sometimes. We’ve planted so many fruits and veggies! Oh no! The crows keep swooping down, stealing our hard work! When the villagers blame us for the food shortage, it makes me sad that there’s nothing left to eat! It feels like we’re always on the menu! People think we’re the Apple family because we love apples, but it’s really because we have a huge apple farm. Life is hard when every-bunny is fighting all the time. It’s like a constant game of hide and seek! Then one day, a red fox named Flower came to our village. Some animals were curious, but some bunnies were scared. I was nervous too and wondered why she was being so nice. I wanted to say hi, but I just couldn’t because I was too shy. It felt like my heart was doing a little pitter-patter. Flower started helping us out, working side by side and showing us how to farm better. She helped us grow our fruits and veggies really well! She told tail-wagging tales about her adventures and how she learned different ways to plant seeds. I started to feel more comfortable around her as I listened. One day, while we were planting together, I noticed that Flower struggled to reach a high branch. Gathering my courage, I hopped over to her. “Do you want me to help?” I squeaked, my heart racing like a hare. She looked surprised but smiled back at me. “That would be great, Apple!” I felt a thrill inside when she said my name! I helped her reach the branch, and we laughed together as we worked. It was the first time I’d really spoken to her, and it made me realize that talking to new friends wasn’t so scary. Who knew making friends could be so paws-itively delightful? As days went by, Flower and I grew closer. I learned she had a big heart and wanted to help our village. Together, we found ways to scare away the crows with shiny distractions. Fran and Jim go to the beach. Fran’s parents and Jim’s parents are there. Fran, Jim and both of their parents are from the Turks and Caicos Islands. Fran takes off her slippers and feels the sand between her toes. Jim runs towards the sea; he couldn’t wait to get into the water. Before reaching the water, Jim pauses, looks around and shouts to Fran to go into the water with him. Fran starts to run towards Jim then stops before reaching the water. Jims asks “what’s wrong? Don’t you want to go swimming with me?”. Fran looked a little sad and said “I want to go swimming but I don’t know how. I am afraid.” Jim tells Fran, “don’t be afraid, I have something that can help you to learn how to swim. Come with me.” Jim then runs towards his parents and shouts to his mother, “mommy, can you please give me the arm floats?”. Jim’s mother took out the arm floats from her beach bag, and gave them to Jim. Jim gave one to Fran and said “here, blow that float up and I will blow this one up”. Fran and Jim each blew up one arm float. Then Jim said “Now slide these up your arms. I will help you. They will help you to float in the water.” After the floats were on her little upper arms, she held out her arms and started to walk towards the water with Jim. Jim went into the water up to his knees first. Jim then turned and reached out his hand to Fran and said “come in the water with me”. Fran held his hand and walked into the water with him. As Fran went further into the water, she then exclaimed to Jim “I can’t feel the bottom with my feet anymore!”. Jim then laughed and said, “that’s because you are floating”. Then Fran realized that the arm floats were helping her to float. She then laughed and shouted to her parents saying “Mommy, Daddy, I am floating!”. Her parents waved to her smiling and Jim’s parents were also smiling. Fran and Jim then had fun laughing and playing in the water together, while both of their parents looked on, smiling. Fran and Jim had the best beach day ever.

Once he was an adult, Jesus travelled all over the country teaching people about God and encouraging people to respect and love one another. He also performed miracles, healed sick people and told amazing stories about God. He had all together 13 different disciples that helped him in spreading the word of God. 3. John thought Jesus sounded tough and kind and wanted to live in a manner like Jesus. 4. Granny read the Bible to John and gave him an important bible verse to remember. John 3:16 says "“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Granny thinks that verse gives people the glorious hope of eternal life in heaven through the love of God and death of Jesus Christ. Granny was also excited that she would eventually get to meet Jesus and God. Because there's something about it. I did a little book for John junior about. I don't have it yet. **Winter Friendship** Winter came to the village, covering everything in white snow. Mimi the Cat and Didi the Duck were thrilled. "Let’s celebrate winter with Lulu!" said Mimi. "Yes!" Didi agreed. "We can play in the snow and drink warm soup together." They walked to Lulu the Frog’s house near the pond and knocked. "Lulu? Are you home?" Didi called. But no one answered. Mimi peeked inside. "Lulu isn’t here," she said, confused. They searched behind the house, under a tree, and around the frozen pond. No sign of Lulu. "Where could she be?" asked Didi, shivering. "Do you think she’s gone forever?" "I hope not," Mimi said sadly. "Lulu is our best friend." As they sat under a big tree feeling down, Mimi suddenly remembered. "Wait! Frogs hibernate in winter!" "What does that mean?" asked Didi. "It means Lulu isn’t gone," Mimi explained. "She’s sleeping through the winter to stay safe from the cold." "She’s just sleeping?" Didi’s eyes widened. "Exactly," Mimi said. Cheering up, the friends decided to make something special for Lulu. They built a snowman outside her house and left a note: "We miss you, Lulu! See you in spring!" When spring arrived, Lulu woke up and stretched. She saw the melted snowman and the note. Smiling, she hopped to the pond, where Mimi and Didi were waiting. "Lulu!" they cheered, running to her. "I’m so happy to see you!" Lulu said. "We missed you so much," said Didi. The three friends hugged, laughing. Mimi and Didi learned that even if a friend disappears for a while, it doesn’t mean they’re gone.
